Dutch financial firm ING predicts that the plant-based meat and dairy market in the European Union and the UK will balloon to €7.5 billion (US$8.87 billion) by 2025. If the trend continues over the next decades, the report predicts that plant-based protein alternatives could surpass animal counterpart sales by the mid-2050s.
